The Kutztown Area Democratic Club acts as a gathering place for political activities, programs, and educational events so that individuals may develop a sense of membership and connection with the progressive democratic movement and its candidates. We normally hold monthly meetings. The meetings include business and planning along with invited guests to speak on pertinent topics.

The four “Values” listed below were arrived at through a survey of KADC club members, several meetings by our communications committee, and a lengthy debate at our monthly discussion meeting.
KADC began in July of 2004 when word spread that George W. Bush was coming to Kutztown to campaign for a second term. Our community came together to paint banners and organize a protest that culminated in over 400 people demonstrating against his policies. This invigorating event led to the revival of the Kutztown Democratic Club, later to be renamed the Kutztown Area Democratic Club, which met for the first time on August 8, 2004.

We think of ourselves as a 'grassroots, progressive' club, more progressive than old school Democrat...We have accomplished so much but there is more to do. To quote Charles M. Blow (New York Times 11/23/16), "No, Mr. Trump, we will not all just get along. For as long as a threat to the state is the head of state, all citizens of good faith and national fidelity have an absolute obligation to meet you and your agenda with resistance at every turn."
